32 Hours Per Week

Vacancy Reference: 6461
We are looking for a female to be part of a team offering 24-hour support to a lady who lives in Rutherglen.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team who will support and challenge each other to provide the best possible service and improve the lives of individuals.
We are looking for a motivated and confident person who will work in a person-centred way to ensure consistent support for the lady. The lady does not communicate through speech so you will be required to work hard to develop and understand how she communicates. The lady also has complex health needs. You will receive full training in understanding this and there is a full support plan in place.
The lady has her own vehicle which you will be required to drive on her behalf, so a driving licence is essential.
Personal care and administration of medication is also part of the role.
The lady has her own unique interests which include hydrotherapy, music, ice skating, cinema and she is supported with all household tasks and finances. Family are very involved, and your role will be to support her to maintain and develop new friendships and relationships.
The post is split into 2 x 16 hour shifts plus a sleepover of 8 hours at the end of each shift.
You will be encouraged through time to get to know other people who are part of the bigger service and gain experience by working there at times.
Successful applicants must be in a position to gain qualification as determined by the SSSC for registration purposes and be able to gain professional registration with the SSSC within the timescale required, where relevant.
