Benefits of working with Sense Scotland

In return for your commitment to Sense Scotland, we offer a range of staff benefits including family-friendly policies, a generous annual leave entitlement and a workplace pension scheme.

Flexible working arrangements and family-friendly policies

We offer many of our roles on a part-time basis with flexible working hours, where possible.

Our childcare voucher scheme can also save you money through your tax and national insurance.

Generous annual leave entitlement

On joining sense Scotland, you’ll be entitled to 36 days annual leave, including public holidays (pro-rata for part time hours).

Pension scheme

We offer a contributory pension scheme with a minimum staff contribution of 1% of salary.

Training and development

We have an exceptional induction, training and eLearning programme for all staff.

In addition to local recognition of staff’s achievements, we encourage nominations for our staff awards. Each year, nominees and winners are invited to the annual Employee Awards event where staff are recognised for their excellent commitment and achievements.

Death in Service benefits

Sense Scotland staff are automatically eligible (free of charge) for a Death in Benefit lump sum of £20,000.

Employee Assistance Programme

The programme is available to all our staff, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It provides counselling support, health advice and personal legal advice whenever you need it.

Health and wellbeing support

We encourage staff to live a healthy lifestyle through our various Healthy Working Lives initiatives and tax-free bike scheme.

Free entry to top attractions in Scotland

Sense Scotland staff can get free entry to Glasgow Science Centre with the option to buy additional tickets for friends and family at just £4 each and reduced entry to other attractions from time to time.

Credit Union

Through a charity-run financial co-operative, we offer the option to save through salary deductions.

Please note that the benefits listed above are offered to those employed by Sense Scotland, not all of these are accessible by relief workers.
